Wowwww

Dear Faithful Reader,

Abraham Chronicles is on a mini break right now. I hope that’s okay.

I am with the family at Lake Hartwell (in South Carolina) until Wednesday, and the wireless internet is spotty.

In many ways, it’s forced me to unplug a little. I hope you get a chance to get away and “sign off” as well.

Family time is important and I want to be reminded that I need to be intentional about specifically engaging my wife and kids in times like these. They don’t come around that often.

Where I'll be until Wednesday evening...

I took a kayak ride out with each of my older daughters this morning and was reminded of God’s beautiful creation. Even though all they wanted to do was jump out and swim, I specifically told them to remember that “God made all of this!”.

They both (individually) responded with their typical “Wowwww”. It was cute.

Until we meet again this upcoming Friday…

Stay classy and stay safe,

Dustin

What did you do this weekend?
Tell me about a “Wowwww” moment you’ve had when experiencing God’s creation.

Dude, have fun! It’s good to unplug once in a while!

My weekend has been pretty chill–just spent time with family and friends. Oh and doing work for my class……

When you get back from unplugging, I hope you will see that I left you a note saying, “Have a great time! This is a great time to make memories with your family.”

    Enjoy!

I went to the Jersey Shore on Saturday. And I enjoyed visiting some old friends at a picnic in NJ yesterday. Today, we went to a 4th of July parade. We’re heading to the pool, and we’ll probably check out fireworks this evening. It’s been great to be with family.

See you when you get back!

This weekend I did premarial counseling in VA Beach, saw Transformers 3, bought a new washer and dryer and a hot water heater, and preached five times at my church. Whew…I’m tired just typing that.

… away from the internet. That is the key.

It was spotty, so I didn’t do much… which was good. :)

I think I set a personal record for not tweeting in over 24 hours.

Have a great time with your family. At least you schedule your unplugged time. I just suddenly disappear for a couple weeks without any plan to do so. Whatever works, right? :)

Dude. All my e-brothers except for Michael are gone.

    ….fine…

My biggest “Wowwwwww” moment(s) was honestly when my bride gave birth to our two daughters. It was simply amazing, breathtaking, and completely awe-inspiring. Yes, I cried. A lot. And I prayed in the Spirit out loud. A lot. Totally “Wowwwwww” moments.

Well… when you were gone, we were here. :) But, now we’re all back.

(Me too – I didn’t cry, but I was amazed…. it was a beautiful thing for sure.)
