Blog Review

Thank you Dear Reader for participating in this little community! In a few weeks, we’ll hit post number 100 here at Abraham Chronicles and I have something special for you. I promise it’ll be something you’ll write home about. Be sure to stick around, okay?

In the meantime, I would like to know a little bit about you, what you like, and how this blog can improve…

1. How did you find this blog?
2. How do you read this blog (RSS reader, mobile device, email, etc.)?
3. What are your favorite types of posts (faith, humor, parenthood, etc.)?
4. What is one “under the radar” blog that we need to check out (not yours!)?
5. If you blog, what serves as inspiration behind your writings?

As always, thank you for being consistent, honest, and vulnerable.

You guys rock!

How did you find this blog? I don’t remember. Perhaps through Jonathan Pearson or another blogger.

How do you read this blog? I read this through the feed in my Outlook at work.

What are your favorite types of posts? I like posts about life whether that be funny or not. BUT, I like short posts.

What is one “under the radar” blog that we need to check out? http://scottsandmeyer.wordpress.com My husband’s blog. He’s such a mighty man of God with a deep mind. I love to read what he’s got on his mind.

If you blog, what serves as inspiration behind your writings? I think life is my inspiration, which is why I’m not as regular a blogger. I have to really think things through to write about them.

    3. The faith posts are my favorite. Sometimes I need something from the Bible or another perspective on living as a Christian.
    4. I like to read michellebuck.com. She talks about life and parenting and all kinds of stuff. Also sammyadebiyi.com is pretty good.

    1. How did you find this blog? I have no idea, I do know that my first comment was on January 20, 2011 (I had to search for this)

    2. How do you read this blog (RSS reader, mobile device, email, etc.)? Reader.

    3. What are your favorite types of posts (faith, humor, parenthood, etc.)? all, sprinkled with humor. I like to laugh!

    4. What is one “under the radar” blog that we need to check out (not yours!)? Prudychick. She’s cool and I like her writing.

    5. If you blog, what serves as inspiration behind your writings? I like to think I bring something to the table (at least I tell myself that). In return, I want people to bring something to the same table. It’s like a big potluck. If I bring something, they’ll bring something, so that’s my motivation.

Well, my normal process when I see your feed show up is:

        1. Notice the post and start chuckling, thinking about your dancing video. It’s ingrained in my head.
        2. Click on the post with eager anticipation of a faith or humor based post
        3. See that the post is a Daddy Post
        4. Immediately think: “I could probably learn something from this that I may or may not use in the future.”
        5. Followed up by: “but I’m not a dad yet, so I think I will skip this one.”
        6. Curse the stars that I am not trying to prepare to be a dad.
        7. Break down in tears that I’m still single and not a dad.
        8. Move on to someone else’s post.

This may or may not be accurate.

    1. How did you find this blog?

I’m a first time commenter here, but I have been reading your blog for about 2 weeks. I found this blog when 3-fold-Cord did a guest post. I have a love hate relationship with them.

    2. How do you read this blog (RSS reader, mobile device, email, etc.)?

I just have a short list of browser bookmarked blogs that visit.

    3. What are your favorite types of posts (faith, humor, parenthood, etc.)?

I like blogs that challenge me and make me think. I also love controversial Christian blogs that are not afraid to push the edge of the envelope. If you just put up blogs where the same people comment and everyone agrees with you, what is the point?

    4. What is one “under the radar” blog that we need to check out (not yours!)?

Well I’m here because of http://www.3-foldcord.com/ Though not “underground” these guys tend to raise my blood pressure and piss me off at times! Regardless, I feel I should give them a bump anyway. I also like Kingdom Bard @ http://kingdombard.wordpress.com/

    5. If you blog, what serves as inspiration behind your writings?

I don’t blog. I’m more of a reader than a writer. Though I have vowed to be more interactive as opposed to just a lurker.

    2. How do you read this blog (RSS reader, mobile device, email, etc.)?

Google reader or through direct URL.

    3. What are your favorite types of posts (faith, humor, parenthood, etc.)?

    Faith and parenthood

    4. What is one “under the radar” blog that we need to check out (not yours!)?

Don’t have any. I barely find time to read the ones I follow much less find news ones.

    5. If you blog, what serves as inspiration behind your writings?

Writing helps me share my thoughts and helps me understand my thoughts better. Blogging is where I can really open up. I share things in my blog that I may otherwise not talk about.
